We are a small business serving the Tissue Recovery and Banking Industry producing patented post-mortem skeletal and dermal prosthetics. Although, in the Tissue Recovery realm, the part we play is small, we consider our contribution part of a sacred space—where ultimate sorrow and joy share the same space.

Baugh Medical Organization is dedicated to providing the best donor reconstruction experience for donors and the recovery agencies through the manufacture of industry-leading post-mortem prosthetics.

Historically, many Tissue Banks have used either PVC pipes or wooden dowels for replacement and reconstruction. This practice is fraught with disadvantages: the PVC is environmentally unsafe, and both are ill fitting into the body. With the indexable BMO prosthetics, we have replicated more natural angles of the body. This provides greater stability as the prosthetics are placed into the body and a more natural preserved look. Our prosthetics are 100% biodegradeable and burial or cremation ready.

Operational philosophy:

Baugh Medical Manufacturing ShopWe are passionate Lean practitioners, which means simply, but is not necessarily simple, eliminating waste: the benefit of value-added operations. If unfamiliar with the Lean Manufacturing philosophy, there are literally thousands of videos online—just search Lean Manufacturing or ask us. We would love to explain what it means to us.

A natural parallel benefit is continuously improving product, process, and quality. We have implemented hundreds of improvements, some of which would hardly be noticeable to the aggregate, but Lean at the core is a mindset of continuous improvement—a philosophy not a destination.

Why the Lean monolog? Because it is our ambition to not just sell a product but also solutions—meaning if we can make something you need better and cost effectively, it is a win-win.

With a mindset of eliminating waste, much of the product materials we use to produce our products are reclaimed wood and recycling/re-purposing our process waste.

A significant component to our improving is feedback from the end user—you! So let us know what is missing or how we can improve.
